Today I faced an issue that my local Sitecore 9.x instance is not coming up again.
No errors in the log and it ends close to a line about "Device Detection"... After a longer investigation I deleted the "DeviceDetectionDB-200113120345-2D42A43B32A055B9A54DFFACE61FF39B.db" file in the folder "/App_Data/DeviceDetection". There is a fancy tool called "Lock Hunter" to delete the file while it's in use.
I killed the w3wp-process, reloaded the page and (magic happens) the instance is running again!
It seems the db-file from January 2020 is corrupted.
